Ah well, the fever is back. Must’ve been the Tylenol that gave me a normal reading.
Loganberry’s new game is grab an item (preferably paper or cloth), look to see if Mama is watching, then grin, chomp down and rip and look back to see if I’m going to try to take it out of his mouth, giggle when I do, then repeat. He seems pleased to find that I am consistent in what I remove and what I let him keep. He also likes to crawl (yes, crawl – he is actually getting the knees into it more and more) to the house plants and lift a hand to them, stop and see if I am watching and if so, touch them so that I will pick him up and put him down elsewhere in the house so he can try again. If I ignore him or do not respond with enough action he tries to eat dirt.
He ate a couple of coffee beans off the floor the other day. Actually chewed and swallowed so I think he liked them. I didn’t get to him in time to prevent it as I thought he’d take one taste and spit it out. And yes, it was a freshly dropped bean. Had a really hard time getting him to go down that night.
He’s definitely my kid. I gave him a small pile of cheese, veggies and pasta the other day to try picking up and eating. He consumed all the cheese, picking through the pile to get it. He left the rest.
